Vancouver Agreement Publication

The articles „Preparing raw clinical data for publication: guidance for journal editors, authors, and peer reviewers“ and „Towards agreement on best practice for publishing raw data“ offered guides for managing data exchange in accordance with privacy standards. There is also a proposed code of conduct for the analysis of raw data published in the Trials Journal („Proposed Code“). „Researchers should take responsibility for their contributions to all publications, funding requests, reports and other presentations of their research. …“ Several descriptions of the Vancouver system indicate that the number can be placed outside the intersection of the text to avoid disruptions to the text flow, or can be placed within the intersection of the text, and that there are different cultures in different traditions. [12] [13] The first method is recommended by some universities and higher education institutions,[14] while the latter method is required in scientific publications such as GWA[15] and IEEE[16], except at the end of a block quotation. (IEEE uses Vancouver-style labels in parentheses, z.B. [1] to quote the first reference in the list, but for the rest, they refer to the Chicago Style Manual.) [16] The original vancouver system documents (the CYHI recommendations and the uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals) do not discuss the placement of the citation mark. With regard to medicine, it can be added that the Helsinki Declaration states that the results of research that have not been reviewed by an ethics committee should not be adopted for publication. All patient studies must be published in registers or databases (see other joint position papers from the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers – Associations).

This is why the EU is calling for all clinical trials to be published in a database, see the Commission`s guideline for publishing and publishing information on the results of clinical trials. When a researcher participates in a working group in a research context, the goal is usually to present results to be published, because researchers simply do not do research for themselves, i.e. „in isolation.“ The fact that the material is first presented at a conference with the researcher as a co-author should come as no surprise to anyone in a research group. Almost all medical journal articles are published online. Many are published only online, and many others are published online before printing. For the online publication date, at the end of NLM`s quote named „[Epub Year My Day]“ (for online publication only) or „[Epub before printing]“ online before printing (with the month and day after the year in its normal position). In contrast, the AMA style represents „[online monthday published, year]“ at the end of the article`s title. It no longer uses the term „epub“ and no longer contains the words „before printing.“ If there is no print data (online publication only), it omits the year of its normal location according to the abbreviation of the newspaper title. At the international level, there are two important publication guidelines.

In its White Paper on the Promotion of Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, the Council of Scientific Editors (CSE) examines various issues relating to the ethics of publication.
